Oscar Madness

K…I don’t want to go off on the Oscars or anything. I’m just mad that The Aviator didn’t take Best Picture & Best Director. I mean, don’t get me wrong, I loved Million Dollar Baby and think Clint Eastwood is a phenomenal director and can really put together a great character-centric film. But, Scorsese made an amazing film that took two years to put together. It’s great on so many different levels. It’s a complex story that was so perfectly put together. It’s top notch all the way!
Anyway, if I could give you those Oscars I would, Mr. S.

  1. I agree. Or at least splitting them. Scorsese was robbed years ago when Raging Bull didn’t win, and he at least deserved a best picture. Or… at least give Scorsese best director: Eastwood already got one. Sheesh, he did a good job, but Eastwood didn’t deserve his acting award either. Stupid Oscars.

  2. So… I’m confused Neal. Splitting the eyebrows? He certainly has enough to go around. It could be like some kind of charity for those with less fortunate eyebrows. Spread the love.

  3. I’m still bitter. I don’t think I’ll ever get over this one. Reminds me of the time Julia Roberts won for her craptastic performance in Erin Brokovich. Or when they gave the pity award to Nicole Kidman for her tolerable performance in The Hours. *shudders*
