The “Bad Books for the Office” Game
Brian, Mel, and I went to Barnes & Noble Bookstore yesterday and were playing a little book-finding game. The goal was to wander around the store looking for books that fit the theme, then meet back together & share our finds. And laugh. Our theme was to find books that you should definitely not keep on your desk at work (we all work at a middle school, so that was also assumed). While some books are comedic and others are actually of value, they just might not be taken well by a coworker, student, or parent sauntering into your room. Here are my favorite finds in no particular order:
- Making Friends With Black People by Nick Adams
- I Hate Other People’s Kids by Adrianne Frost
- How to Work for an Idiot by John Hoover
- When Someone You Love Has a Mental Illness by Rebecca Woolis
- Hidden Monster: Pedophilia by Shawn Michael Dove
- The Complete Guide to Prescription and Nonprescriiption Drugs 2006 by H. Winter Griffith & Stephen Moore
- Cheat to Win by Robert W. MacDonald
- Never Satisfied: How and Why Men Cheat by Michael Baisden
- Barbie Princesses and Fairytales: The Ultimate Stickerbook Series by DK Publishing (this one needs to be used in order to be freaky…)
Heh heh. Nothing like going through the bookstore for an amusing mission! And it would be even more amusing if you had all of these books on your desk at the same time!
