Fave film watched in 2013: Studio Ghibli’s From Up on Poppy Hill (2011). Mix of Rushmore + Dead Poets + Flirting + Miyazaki. <3

When I wrap presents, I like to imagine Martha Stewart looking over my shoulder sighing and shaking her head, occasionally shedding a tear.

Today is made more perfect by a Joan Baez station on Pandora.

I spent 4 minutes getting ready this morning; just enough time for Lou to take one tiny bite out of each fresh apple in the bowl of 12. 🙁

CALEB: My class is “Bad Guys & their Relationships with Mathematics.” I’ll show 2 bad guys & you tell me greater than, less than, or equal.

LOU LOU: Knock, knock.
ME: Who’s there?
LOU: Woo.
ME: Woo who?
LOU (throws up her hands roller coaster style): WOO HOO!!!!!!

If you stand opposed to everything I believe in, I still might vote for you if you can forever abolish all of this clock-changing business.

Impromptu science lesson: we’re watching a red-tailed hawk eat one of our chickens. Predatorial bird hunting & digestion is awesome stuff.
